Wine Country Weekend

Travel

Temecula sits about an hour north of San Diego, tucked between rolling vineyards and golden hills. Make a weekend of it — you won't regret it.

Getting There

From San Diego

Take I-15 North for about an hour — the drive opens up into rolling hills as you cross into Temecula. Exit at Rancho California Road and follow it east for five minutes into wine country. Europa Village will be on your right.

The wedding falls on a Friday, and I-15 traffic builds quickly after 2 PM. If you're driving up the same day, plan to leave San Diego no later than noon to arrive relaxed and on time. The drive itself is part of the charm — golden vineyards stretching for miles as you roll in.

A Little Nudge

Make a Weekend of It

October is one of the most beautiful times in Temecula — harvest season, cool evenings, and hills turning gold. If you can stay an extra night, here's how we'd spend it.

Thursday

Arrive & Settle In

Roll into Temecula, check into your hotel, then head over to Old Town for dinner and a walk down Front Street. An easy first night in wine country.

Friday

The Big Day

Sleep in, grab a leisurely breakfast, and take the morning slow. Ceremony at 5:00 PM in the Giardino del Cielo — golden hour, vineyard views, dancing until late.

Saturday

Wine Country Morning

Brunch with a mimosa, one last winery visit, or a sunrise hot air balloon ride if you're feeling adventurous. Head home slow.
